A huge project for this weekend was completing our son's science fair project. He chose to see which water would boil the fastest: tap water, salt water, carbonated water, or water from our local Jordan River. It was educational, but very time consuming. This was his first science project ever and we learned a lot, like how we need to start sooner :) We also learned that the cleaner the water, the faster it will come to a boil. I wish this assignment was more on his level. There was way too much stuff for him to do and do well on his own. It included a journal (with Table of Contents and a Bibliography) and a display board in addition to the experiment. Honestly, he simply didn't care. He thought the experiment was cool at first, but had a hard time following it through to the end. He quickly lost interest and struggled to stay involved. But I insisted and we got it done and I think he is proud of the finished project. Procrastination was not my friend on this one.
