We aren’t sure when we lost part of the tire, but we're sure that the prayer our daughter offered, before we left home,
provided us the protection we needed.
Unsure that the spare was holding air, and since it was nearly 10pm, we decided to spend the night at my brother’s and get the tire fixed the next morning before joining our friends in Zions.
8am the next morning my husband visited the two tire stores in Parowan, but neither carried the tire we needed.
A phone call to Cedar City located our tires at The Tire Company.
Our experience there was amazing. I believe we were in and out in less than 15 minutes. The salesman motioned to two workers who ran out with jacks and in just minutes we had two new tires on the trailer. We paid and then we were on our way.
We had a great time in Zions. We stayed at the Watchman Campground where we were able to catch the shuttle bus into the park. We did our biggest hike just after we arrived. Leaving from the campground we hiked about 3 miles. The kids did amazingly well and were even asking to do more. Later that evening we went further into the park and hiked to Weeping Rock. Our son was amazed. That night we made S’mores over the campfire (my favorite part!!!) The next day we had a yummy breakfast and checked out of the campsite before catching the shuttle back into the park for some more hiking. This time we hiked up to the Emerald Pools. By the time we made it back to our truck we were tired and hungry. We enjoyed a quick picnic in the park before heading back to my brother’s house on our way home.
We had a really great time. I love the camping, hiking, yummy food, and being outdoors. The kids loved all the caterpillars that were everywhere, even bringing a few home in an empty water bottle. They had already made their chrysalises before we got home. We are anxious to see what type of butterfly or moth appears and we’re wondering how long it will take. Our daughter's school class has adopted them and has become their home
until they can fly away.

I am glad you guys were safe. That tire looks pretty dangerous.
